This course will help them make their businesses more productive while ensuring they meet the DOS requirements for Agency and the Code of Ethics in their daily practices. This course is designed to review license law as it pertains to the virtual world.
Students will also gain skills to create online files to maintain agency disclosure and marketing of real estate information while honoring the NAR Code of Ethics.

Learning objectives
- Define agency and the responsibilities that relationship creates
- List agency types allowable in NYS and the disclosure requirements
- Compose a script for online first substantive contact to discuss agency
- Demonstrate online signing of the agency disclosure form and electronic record keeping
- Identify how unintentional agency can be created through social media and other
platforms - Interpret all Articles of the NAR Code of Ethics and who they serve
- List and describe Articles of the Code which are commonly the subject of online complaints
- Create appropriate online advertising that complies with Article 12A
- Organize documentation obtained through technology to be retained for 3 years.
